Oh honey, I know exactly what you're talkin' about! Happened to me during a live cooking stream once, and bless your heart, my chat went absolutely wild! We were fixin' up some pasta, and the next thing you know, the garlic in the pan looked like it was tryin' to go Super Saiyan green. Lord have mercy, I thought I'd poisoned everyone on screen!

Turns out, it's just a totally normal chemical reaction, nothin' to fret over. When garlic gets exposed to acids, like from tomatoes or even just some minerals in your water or the pot you're usin', those sulfur compounds in the garlic can form pigments. It's called anthocyanin formation, all fancy-schmancy science talk for "it's safe to eat and just bein' pretty." Your food's still good, darlin', just got a little extra pop of color! My mods had to calm everyone down, tellin' them it wasn't a glitch, just science.

Garlic discoloration when cooked is a result of a chemical reaction. Sulfur compounds in garlic react with trace minerals or acids. This forms blue or green pigments. It is entirely safe to consume.

LOL, yeah, that happens. Nothing to worry about. Teh garlic has sulfur compounds that react with acids or metals in your pot. It turns blue or green. It's a wierd chemical thing. Totally safe to eat, BTW. Your stream chat needs to chill. IMO, it's pretty common. Just eat it. :)

Oh, wow, that's interesting!!! I might be wrong but I think it has something to do with a chemical reaction... like, the sulfur compounds in the garlic can react with acids or even trace minerals in your water or cookware??? It causes it to change color, making it look blue or green! I've heard it's perfectly safe to eat, absolutely no problem there! It just looks a little wierd, I guess... Maybe try using a different type of pan next time, or check if your water has certain thins in it???
