Hello kiley_2001. Please do not worry; your honey is certainly not fake or spoiled. What you are seeing is called crystallization, which is actually a sign of high-quality, natural honey. Over time, the glucose in the honey separates from the water and forms these white crystals. To restore your honey to its liquid state quickly for your baking tonight, please follow these steps:
  • Fill a bowl with warm water (around 40°C or 100°F). Do not use boiling water, as high heat can destroy the delicate flavor and enzymes.
  • Place the sealed jar into the warm water.
  • Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then stir. Repeat if necessary until the crystals have fully dissolved.
Once your honey is liquid again, it will perform perfectly in any recipe. If you find yourself with extra honey after your baking project, you might consider trying it in honey glazed chicken thighs baked in a roasting bag.

1. Boil water then turn off heat!!! 2. Place jar in water... 3. Wait until liquid!!! 4. Do not use microwave or you risk melting the container!!!

It's just crystallized honey and its still perfectly safe to eat!!! Just put your jar in a bowl of warm water for a bit and it'll be fine. Hope your baking turns out great :)

its just crystals kiley... honey doesnt really go bad and its definitely not fake if it does this!!! it happens when it gets cold or just sits too long in the cupboard... i use my multicooker on the warm setting for this sometimes to get it liquid again because its more controlled than the stove??? just put the jar in the water but dont let it boil!!! good luck with your baking tonite...

Crystallization is normal! It's not fake, just needs heat for viscosity. I usually "FIFO" my pantry but honey lasts forever. I once had a batch do this during meal prep, and a warm soak saved it.

Oh, don't you worry! That honey is just as good as the day you bought it. It's just crystallized. My mother always kept a jar for her tea. Just give it a warm bath in the sink!

Your honey is just crystallized because its been sitting there. Real honey does this it will be "hyggeligt" once you warm it up. Just put the jar in warm water and it will be fine.
