This Privacy Policy explains how the administration of ItsEaten.com ("ItsEaten.com," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal information when you visit https://www.itseaten.com/, contact us, or use site features. It applies to visitors worldwide, subject to mandatory local law.

1. Controller and contact channels

Do not send identity documents or sensitive information in your first message. If verification is necessary, we will provide a proportionate and secure method.

2. Information we may collect

  • Information you provide, such as a name or alias, email address, message subject and content, communication preferences, comments, ratings, recipes, photographs, and account details if accounts are offered.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, timestamps, requested URL, referring page, device type, browser, operating system, language, cookie or similar identifiers, browsing events, errors, and security logs.
  • Approximate location, such as country, region, or city inferred from IP address. We do not request precise GPS location.
  • Limited information from analytics, advertising, security, embedded-content, or social-media providers, consistent with your settings, required consent, and their policies.

We do not ask you to provide health information, racial or ethnic origin, beliefs, union membership, biometrics, sex-life information, government identification numbers, or financial account data. Please do not submit that information through forms, comments, or email.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Automated content or advertising selection may infer interests, but it does not decide access to employment, credit, housing, insurance, education, or essential services.

5. How we disclose information

  • Accounts and published user content: while active or until deletion is requested, subject to legal obligations, freedom-of-expression rights, the defense of claims, and limited backup cycles.
  • Cookies: for the period shown in the preference panel.

After the relevant period, we delete or de-identify the information using reasonable measures.

8. Security

We use measures proportionate to risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, updates, backups, and event logging. No system is completely secure. Report a vulnerability without exploiting it or accessing another person's data.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the legal basis, you may request access or confirmation, correction, deletion, restriction or blocking, objection, portability, information about recipients and transfers, withdrawal of consent, and review of applicable automated decisions. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.

EEA and UK residents may have the rights provided by the GDPR or UK GDPR. We respond within the period required by applicable law.

If the California Consumer Privacy Act or another U.S. state privacy law applies, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit specified sensitive-information uses; and receive no discriminatory treatment. In the preceding 12 months, the site may have collected identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and interest inferences from the sources and for the purposes described in Sections 2 and 3. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics.

10. Children

The site is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age without legally required authorization. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. Third-party links and content

The site may link to or embed third-party services. Those third parties process information under their own policies when you open or interact with them. We do not control their practices.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy for legal, technical, or service changes. We will post the revised version and date and, where required, provide an additional notice or obtain a new choice.
