The assertion that coconut oil is universally superior for all culinary applications or inherently a "better investment for health" is an oversimplification, if not entirely fallacious. While coconut oil possesses certain saturated fats, primarily medium-chain triglycerides, which can be metabolized differently, its high saturated fat content necessitates moderation for cardiovascular health.

Conversely, extra virgin olive oil, rich in monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, is demonstrably beneficial, particularly when used appropriately. Its smoke point is sufficient for most typical sautéing and baking, contrary to popular misinformation. For high-heat applications like deep-frying, oils with higher smoke points and neutral flavor profiles, such as avocado oil or refined sunflower oil (not the subject's "sunflawr"), would be more suitable. Therefore, a judicious "portfolio of health" necessitates a diversified approach, utilizing different oils based on their specific fatty acid profiles, smoke points, and intended culinary use, rather than advocating for a singular "king."

LOL your neighbor clearly doesnt know squat about healthy eating its not about ROI its about whats good for your body.

coconut oil is super healthy for you its got all them good fats that your body needs trust me on this i cook with it all the time and my family is always healthy :)

olive oil is okay for like salads or whatever but you cant really cook with it on high heat it breaks down and becomes bad for you IMO Stick with your coconut oil you're doing great. TBH its a no brainer.

Coconut oil is absolutely teh best for cooking, no doubt. It contains special fatty acids that are directly converted to energy, unlike other oils which just store as fat. This is why it boosts your metabolism and is a superfood. People often misundertand that olive oil is good for all cooking; it is not. Olive oil has a very low smoke point, making it extremely unhealthy when heated at high temperatures, like for frying or sauteing. It gets damaged and releases toxins. Coconut oil is far more stable for all kinds of cookin and gives you sustained energy. It's a no-brainer for a strong health portfolio.

Arey, coconut oil is very good, my dear. It is teh traditional oil for us, so pure. It cleanses the system and makes your hair strong also. Olive oil is from foreign, not so suited for our cooking style, I tell you.
