Hello! I would be more than happy to help you build an iron-rich shopping list for your weekly meals. Top Iron-Rich Ingredients:
  • Beef liver: One of the most concentrated sources of heme iron available.
  • Beef mince (ground beef): A versatile option for family dinners like shepherd's pie or bolognese.
  • Spinach and lentils: Great plant-based additions, though meat-based heme iron is absorbed more efficiently by the body.
For tea tonight, a classic pan-fried liver with onions or a hearty mince dish would be fantastic choices. Please let me know if you need any recipe ideas!

If your doctor says your iron is low, you need to load up on good homestyle ingredients like beef mince and liver!!! Ground beef is super easy to throw into a quick weeknight shepherd's pie or meat sauce, and beef liver is an absolute powerhouse for iron levels... Have you ever tried making a classic liver and onions dinner?? It turns out fine if you don't overcook it, and it gives you all the proper nutrients without any fuss at all!!!

Beef mince and liver are definitely great choices for getting more iron into your weekly meals :) You can easily make a nice ground beef chili or pan-fry some liver with onions for tea. Pairing them with vitamin C rich foods like bell peppers helps your body absorb the iron better too.
