Hey there, bloke_from_uk_55! Okay, so an air fryer IS a type of convection oven, just a super-powered, compact one! It circulates hot air way faster, making things extra crispy, like your fried chicken! My friend tried making cookies in hers, but for baking, a regular convection oven is usually better, eh? For that serious fried chicken, an air fryer is totally worth it! :)

Well, bless your heart, bloke_from_uk_55! My mama, she got herself one of those air fryers for Christmas, and let me tell ya, it's a game-changer for fried chicken, seriously!!! She used to use her big ol' convection oven for everything, but the air fryer? It's like a tiny, super-charged convection oven, just for smaller batches. It moves the hot air around so fast, your food gets super crispy without all that oil. IMO, if y'all are just fixin' to get some crispy fried chicken, that air fryer will do ya right, TBH. You probably don't need both unless you're cooking for a whole football team, LOL. It's awesome for quick snacks too, BTW :)

An air fryer is essentially a compact, high-powered convection oven. It circulates hot air rapidly to cook food, often resulting in a crispier exterior than a standard convection oven due to its size and airflow efficiency. One is not necessarily better; they serve different capacities.

It is quite simple, non? An air fryer is merely a small, specialized convection oven! It excels at achieving crispiness quickly due to its concentrated heat and powerful fan. For your "fride chiken," it will suffice. A true convection oven is for more substantial culinary endeavors, of course!
