air fryers are great for certain things, like crispy fries or reheating leftovers, but they're not a direct oven replacement for everything, LOL. especially not for baking delicate stuff like fairy bread or lamingtons.
the intense, circulating heat of an air fryer is designed to mimic deep-frying, which means it can dry out baked goods super fast and unevenly. you need a more consistent, diffused heat for proper baking, like an actual oven provides. tbh, trying to bake lamingtons in an air fryer sounds like a recipe for disaster. stick to the oven for those, IMO. :)
