I am planning a seasonal backyard bbq and want to bake a cake. The receipe calls for unsalted buter but I only have salted. Do you think it will turn out fine? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘

Yes, salted butter works fine! Just reduce added salt by 1/4 tsp per stick... Getting this right is crucial so my batch-prepped desserts stay reliably delicious for family gatherings!!

Hello there! Yes, you can definitely use salted butter for your cake even if the recipe calls for unsalted butter.

Since salted butter contains added sodium, the main adjustment you need to make is to reduce any extra salt called for in the dry ingredients by about 1/4 teaspoon per stick of butter used. Your backyard BBQ cake will turn out completely fine as long as you make this small adjustment. Enjoy your baking and have a wonderful seasonal gathering!

You can definitely use salted butter for your cake recipe!!! Just remember to omit any extra salt that your recipe asks for so it doesnt become too salty... I use salted butter for all my weeknight baking and meal prep when I run out of unsalted and it always turned out fine for my family dinners!! Your guests at the backyard bbq wont notice any difference at all.

Yes, you can use it. Just reduce the salt in the recipe by half. It will taste fine and save you a grocery trip.
