From my experience, 2 pounds of meat, when mixed with finely chopped vegetables like cabbage and onion, will yield approximately 120 dumplings.

This reminds me of making dumplings with my aunties for big family dinners. We would sit around the table for hours just talking and folding lol. We never measured exactly but 2 pounds of meat is a lot. You will have plenty for the family. If you add some cabbage or carrots it stretches the filling even more. I would guess you can easily get 100 to 150 dumplings depending on how big you make them. It was always a competition to see who could make the prettiest pleats :) Have fun with your family.

It depends on your mise en place, specifically wrapper size and filling amount. A teaspoon per dumpling should yield around 120-150 from 2 lbs of meat.

Hey! The final count really depends on how much filling you use per dumpling, but 2 lbs is a good amount for a family meal. If you use about one teaspoon of filling for each wrapper, you can probably expect to make somewhere between 100 and 140 dumplings.

I hope they turn out great for your family! :)

Why does everyone need an exact number for everything these days? Just make the filling and fold until it is gone. Two pounds is a lot, especially for turkey which is not very traditional.

If you mix it properly with cabbage and onion, like you are supposed to, you will have more than enough for a family. Probably well over 100. Dont overthink it.
