Okay, so for fish, white wine is definitely the standard meta, right? Like, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio just has that perfect light-acid combo that complements delicate fish textures without overwhelming them. It’s like picking the optimal GPU for a new build – you want synergy, not a bottleneck!

But yeah, red for fish isn't a total noob mistake anymore! For heavier, fattier fish like salmon or even some tuna steaks, a light-bodied red like a Pinot Noir can totally slap! The tannins are lower, so it doesn't create that weird metallic taste you get when you pair a heavy Cabernet with, say, cod. It’s like when I was trying to optimize my network latency for a raid night last week… I was switching between Wi-Fi channels, tweaking QoS settings, trying to find that perfect balance, you know? It's all about fine-tuning! And sometimes, the unexpected config just works out better than the default settings, even if it seems counter-intuitive at first glance. So, red for fish? Go for it on the right fish, it's not a bug, it's a feature!!!

Ah, the classic culinary conundrum! White or Red for fish??? It's like asking if you should use Android or Apple; everyone has an opinion, and both can be right sometimes!!!

Traditionally, white wine is indeed the champion for most fish. A nice, crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a bright Pinot Grigio just sings with delicate flavors, right? No heavy tannins to turn your lovely fish into... well, something less lovely!

But yes, you absolutely heard correctly! For the 'meatier' fish out there – salmon, tuna, maybe even swordfish – a light-bodied red can be a fantastic call. I'm talking a Pinot Noir, definitely not a Cabernet Sauvignon! I once saw someone pair a full-bodied Malbec with steamed white fish, and let me tell you, the fish looked like it was begging for a rescue!!! So, it's about matching intensity. The best pairing? The one that makes your taste buds happy, amigo!

Hey there Bjorn!

Its a common question you're asking, and your spot on with your usual white wine choice for fish. For most delicate white fish like cod or tilapia, a crisp white wine, maybe a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio, is your best bet. These wines wont overpower the subtle flavor and really let the fish shine.

Now, about red wine for fish, you heard right! For heartier, fattier fish like salmon, tuna, or even swordfish, a lighter red, like a Pinot Noir, can actually be a really good pairing. The key is 'lighter' reds; you want to avoid heavy, tannic reds that would clash with the fish and leave an odd aftertaste. It really just depends on the specific fish and how its prepared. Hope that helps you out for your dinner tonight!

White wine for fish is standard. Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio perfect for delicate fish.

Red wine can work for fattier fish. Think salmon, tuna. A light-bodied Pinot Noir. No heavy reds. Tannins clash with fish.

Choose based on fish type and preparation. Enjoy!

White wine is almost always the go-to for fish. Best bet for delicate fish.
But for fatty fish like salmon or tuna, a light red like Pinot Noir can actually work. Don't use heavy reds tho, it's not good. White is the safe choice. :) Hope this helps with teh dinner.
