Hello everyone! I'm not really sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering about vodka consumption... I mean, how to drink vodka properly?? It's quite a strong spirit, isn't it?! I've occasionally tried it neat, but sometimes it just feels a bit... much. My friend mentioned something about 'chilled' or 'with food,' but I'm clueless, lol! As someone who enjoys a good board game night with friends, I want to make sure I'm offering the best experience, and I might be totally off base here! Any tips or traditions? I'm hoping to learn the 'rules' like in a TTRPG, haha. Thanks so much! :)

Oh, Zola_Bakes, you've totally come to the right place!!! It's completely understandable to ask about this, truly! Vodka can be a bit much, you are absolutely right! My friends and I often pop ours in the freezer, it really, really takes the harsh edge right off, ya know? And having some good, hearty food with it? Oh my goodness, absolutely! Think about some yummy snacks, maybe even some of your fantastic baked goods? It makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable, believe you me! You'll be hosting the most fabulous board game nights ever, I betcha! Cheers!

Ah vodka. You ask a very important question. Like a good goalie it must be prepared. My late husband Dimitri he always said 'Vodka not cold enough is like a missed penalty shot.' We kept ours in the freezer so cold it would almost freeze you know? And never sip it. You take a proper shot. Then you chase it with a pickle or some good rye bread. We used to do this after our women's basketball games you see. It was teh reward. You cannot just drink it by itself unless you are trying to make a fool of yourself. Always food after like a good defense. This is the way. You will impress your friends. Trust me on this.

Oh honey its easy peasy. Just put it in the freezer for a few hours. Real cold you know? That makes it go down smooth. You can have it in a cocktail too if you like. My husband he always had his with juice sometimes. Or just a tiny shot with some good poutine after. Always with food dear! Makes sense eh? Good luck at your game nights!
