Hello ryan_99. As a chef, I would be happy to explain the classic water float test to you and your family.

Simply fill a bowl with cold water and gently place your eggs inside. If an egg sinks completely to the bottom and lays flat on its side, it is very fresh. If it stands up on one end at the bottom, it is a bit older but still safe to consume. If it floats to the top, the air cell inside has grown too large, meaning it is old and should be discarded.

The easiest way is the float test. Drop them into a container of cold water and check how they sit.

Just put the eggs in a bowl of cold water. If they sink flat, they are fresh. If they stand up, use them soon. If they float, throw them out. It is that simple for your meal prep.

Omg doing breakfast for the family is so stressful when you aren't sure about the ingredients!!! You totally need to try the famous water bowl test right now... Just fill up a deep bowl with cold tap water and drop your eggs inside carefully!! If they sink straight to the bottom and lay down flat, they are super fresh and ready to cook! But wait, if they start floating like little balloons, that means they are bad and you should definitely throw them away before making breakfast...
