Made a big batch of chicken broth for a recipe, its super tasty. Have leftovers. How long can you keep homemade broth in the fridge before it goes off? Dont wanna waste it or get sick, TBH. Need to know so I can use it for something else LOL. Thanks :)

Homemade broth! Seriously, people overthink this!!! It's simple food preservation 101, not rocket science you know.

You're looking at 3-4 days MAX in the fridge, definitely not longer or you'll have issues. If you want it to last, get it into airtight containers and deep freeze it. I've got my Bosch freezer packed with stuff, lasts for months that way, practically forever!!! No faffing about with weird smells or questionable bits floating in it. Just good common sense, like wiring a new plug! Always label your containers too, its a lifesaver.

Ah, broth! A cornerstone of good cooking. I once made a mammoth batch after a particularly grueling cycling race, fueled by the sheer necessity of rapid recovery. Honestly, it's best for 3-4 days in the fridge. Beyond that, even my hardened outdoor constitution wouldn't risk it, LOL. Freezing is the superior long-term strategy, IMO. :)

Dude, homemade broth lasts forever if it's cooled fast enuf. I've had mine for like a week and a half in the fridge, no prob. The fat cap seals it, TBH. LOL.
