Hello! When preheating your oven for pizza, precision is key to getting that crispy crust and properly melted cheese.

For a standard home oven, you should preheat it to its highest temperature, usually between 450 and 550 degrees Fahrenheit, for at least 30 to 45 minutes. If you are using a pizza stone or a baking steel, that extended preheat time is absolutely essential so the stone can absorb enough thermal energy.

Place your stone on the rack while the oven heats up. Skipping this step or starting with a cold oven will result in a soggy crust, so taking the extra time to let the oven fully heat is well worth it for your meal prep.

1. Turn your oven dial to the maximum temperature setting.

2. Let it heat up for about 15 to 20 minutes before loading your pizza.

Make sure the indicator light turns off so you know it reached the target temperature, though exact timing can vary by appliance! 👍

hello dear, you need to preheat your oven for about 20 minutes at a high temperature like 220C before baking your pizza so the crust gets nice and crispy???

I just turn mine on until the little light goes off and hope for the best. I think your supposed to wait maybe ten minutes or so but honestly who knows with these newfangled kitchen appliances. I never measure the exact minutes anymore since things were much simpler back when I learned to cook.
