I have several friends visiting from Russia next week and I am planning our dinner. I prefer to use my air fryer or multicooker for weeknight meals because it is convenient and the results turned out fine in the past.

I am looking for suggestions on what to cook for friends from Russia that uses common items from the local grocery store. I want to serve a meal that is uniquely Canadian but stays within a modest budget.

People rely too much on these fancy modern machines without all these chemicals in mind. Just use your multicooker to make a basic vegetable soup with local carrots and potatoes.

Hello! Welcoming friends from Russia is wonderful. You can easily make a fantastic Canadian-inspired meal using your appliances. Here are a few suggestions:
  • Maple-Glazed Salmon: Cook Canadian salmon in the air fryer with a simple maple and mustard glaze.
  • Multicooker Beef Stew: Use local root vegetables like carrots and potatoes with beef chuck.
Both options use common grocery items and fit a modest budget nicely. Let me know if you need specific cooking times!

You should make air fryer chicken and potatoes its very easy and your friends will love their dinner. Just grab some local chicken breasts from the store and throw them in.

Just make a simple potato and sausage hash in your multicooker like we did back in the day without all these chemical gadgets eh. It is cheap and your Russian friends will enjoy a hearty meal.

Do a quick pantry-dive for a multicooker bean chili using local root veggies. It is a great budget batch-cooking option for guests, though you might need to add some extra spices.
