Hello Madison2001. When preparing a cold brew concentrate for your meal prep, a standard and reliable ratio is 1:4 by weight, meaning one part coarse ground coffee to four parts cold filtered water. Alternatively, by volume, it is usually about 1 cup of coffee grounds to 4 cups of water.

To ensure your concentrate stays fresh for several days in the fridge, follow these steps:

1. Combine the coarse coffee grounds and cold water in a large jar or pitcher.
2. Stir gently to make sure all the grounds are fully saturated.
3. Cover and steep in the refrigerator or at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours.
4. Strain the mixture twice using a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth or a paper coffee filter to remove all sediment.

Store the strained concentrate in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator. It will easily keep for up to 7 to 10 days without losing its flavor profile, allowing you to dilute it with water or milk throughout the week.

I usually make a batch for the week using a standard coarse grind, but I am not entirely sure about the exact water-to-coffee ratio since I just eyeball it based on how strong I want it to be. It definitely keeps well in the fridge for several days if you strain out all the grounds properly, though the taste might get a bit bitter towards the end of the week. You will probably want to dilute it with water or milk when you actually serve it.

just boil the coffee grounds with water first then put it in the fridge so it stores for several days safely.
