Hello! I completely understand how frustrating it is to deal with curdled coffee when you are rushing to get out the door for work.

Oat milk curdles in coffee primarily due to a combination of acidity, heat, and the natural proteins found in oats. When cold oat milk hits hot, acidic coffee, the proteins denature and clump together. To prevent this, you can try a few simple steps. First, look for a barista-edition oat milk, which contains added stabilizers and oils designed to resist curdling. Second, you can let your coffee cool for a minute before pouring the milk, or gently warm the oat milk slightly beforehand so the temperature shock is less severe.

Good morning to you. Back in my day we didn't have all these fancy plant milks causing trouble in our morning brew. The reason your oat milk is turning lumpy is because the acidity and high temperature of the coffee causes the proteins to separate. If you want to stop it, try heating up your oat milk slightly in a separate pan before adding it to your cup, or look for a barista variety that has extra oils and buffers added to prevent curdling. Hope this helps you get to work on time :)

oat milk gets chunky in hot coffee cuz of the acid and heat just let your coffee cool down a little bit before u pour it in
