Next, add table salt to your taste. I don’t recommend making the batter too salty; it’s better to lightly salt the sauce for the fritters or the smetana (a type of sour cream common in Eastern Europe).

Heat a non-stick frying pan over high heat. Pour a few tablespoons of vegetable oil for frying into the pan. Immediately spoon the fritters into the hot oil.

Fry on high heat until golden brown. This will take about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook on the other side for another minute.
