  • 25 g quinoa
  • 15 g black and white sesame seeds
  • 25 g shredded coconut
  • 25 g flax seeds
  • 80 g walnuts
  • 50 g tahini (sesame paste)
  • 70 g rosehip syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Make Granola with Quinoa

Mix the dry granola ingredients. Pour the rolled oats into a bowl. You can mix rolled oats with buckwheat flakes or use a multi-grain blend in this recipe. The more different grains, the more diverse micronutrients you’ll get.

Add the shredded coconut. You can grate fresh coconut for the granola; it’s a bit of work, but well worth it.

Crush the walnuts or hazelnuts with a rolling pin, grind them in a blender, or chop them finely with a knife. Add the chopped nuts to the other ingredients.<

Mix the ingredients well.


Mix the dry ingredients well, then add the wet ones. First, add the tahini – sesame paste. If the paste in the jar has separated with oil on top, you need to stir it thoroughly, lifting the dense sediment from the bottom of the jar.

Add the rosehip syrup (a sweet, tangy syrup made from the fruit of the rose plant). As a sweetener, agave syrup or maple syrup are also great options. Use whichever sweetener you prefer and have available.

Preheat the oven to 155°C (310°F). Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes until dark golden brown. After 15 minutes, rotate the baking sheet 180 degrees to ensure even heat distribution. You may need slightly more or less time, depending on your oven’s characteristics.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Let the granola cool completely on the sheet, then break it into pieces.
