They are not only quick to prepare but also fun to eat, making them an instant hit for a weeknight dinner or a casual get-together.

- 50 g stale white bread
- 80 ml milk

- 1/2 teaspoon sweet ground paprika
- salt and beef seasoning to taste
- wheat flour for dredging
- vegetable oil for frying
- 4 bamboo skewers
How to Make Beef Sausages on Skewers
Break the stale white bread into small pieces, pour cold milk over it, and set aside for a while. I don’t trim the crusts off the bread; they soften up and don’t detract from the taste of the patties, in fact, they even improve it.
Once the bread is soaked, mash it into a paste with a fork or your hands. The paste should be smooth, like dough or semolina porridge.
Add the chilled lean ground beef to the soaked bread. You can make this dish from a store-bought product – buy ready-made ground meat, or grind the beef for the patties yourself in a meat grinder or blender. Choose lean meat, preferably veal or young beef.
Add a quarter teaspoon of baking soda. A small amount of baking soda won’t spoil the taste of the meat, but it will make it more tender.

Knead the mixture vigorously for a few minutes to combine all ingredients and seasonings with the meat.
Finely dice or grate the onion. Add the sweet ground paprika, chopped onion, and a dry beef seasoning mix to taste to the ground meat.
Knead the mixture vigorously for a few minutes to ensure all the additions and seasonings are well combined with the meat. Let the prepared mixture rest in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. You can also leave it for a few hours and fry the sausages just before serving.
Pour some wheat flour onto a plate. Divide the ground meat into 4 equal parts. Place the portions of meat onto the plate with flour.
Wet your hands with cold water. Form the sausages, dredge them in flour, and place them on a cutting board.
Soak the bamboo skewers in a bowl of cold water for a couple of minutes. Then, thread the sausages onto the skewers, aiming for the center.
Pour a tablespoon of refined vegetable oil for frying into a wide, heavy-bottomed skillet. Heat the oil. Break the skewers so they fit into the skillet. Place the skewered sausages into the hot skillet.
Fry the sausages over medium heat for about 10-12 minutes. As they cook, turn them carefully to ensure they brown evenly on all sides. Towards the end, you can cover the skillet with a lid and leave it on the lowest heat for 5 minutes – this will cook the sausages through.
Serve the skewered sausages hot. For a side dish, prepare a fresh vegetable salad for a delicious dinner!
And there you have it – perfectly juicy and flavorful beef sausages, ready to be enjoyed! These skewers are incredibly versatile and pair wonderfully with a variety of side dishes. Serve them hot with a crisp green salad, creamy mashed potatoes, or grilled vegetables for a complete and satisfying meal. Don't hesitate to experiment with your favorite herbs and spices to customize the flavor. We hope this simple recipe brings a taste of comfort and joy to your dining table. Enjoy your delicious homemade meal!
