Which alcohol affects weight gain the least? Finding a low-calorie tipple for the weekend

I remember the days when I could have a few drinks and not have to worry about my waistline one bit, but those days are well and truly gone!

These days, while I'm busy in the kitchen with my multicooker, I've been wondering which alcohol affects weight gain the least. I still enjoy a cheeky drink after a long week at the office, but I don't want to ruin my healthy eating streak. Is it best to stick to spirits or is there a wine that isn't too rubbish for the diet? :)

Personal experience with fruits and diabetes: what can I safely eat from my garden?

My doctor has recently informed me that my sweet tooth is no longer my friend, which is quite the betrayal after forty years of loyalty. I am trying to manage my blood sugar while still making use of my home garden, but the conflicting advice online about which fruits are acceptable is more confusing than my attempt to grow orchids.

I would realy love to hear from anyone who has actually managed their diabetes without giving up fruit entirely, especially if you have favorite low-glycemic options that do not taste like cardboard. My weeknight cooking relies on what is available in the supermarket or my backyard, so any practical advise would be greatly appreciated.

Why is my weight increasing even though I eat very little?

I have been noticing that my weight is incresing even though I eat very little and stick to simple ingredients from the supermarket. As someone who cooks quick weeknight meals after work, I try to keep my portions small but the scale keeps going up regardless of my efforts.
How many calories should I burn daily to lose 1 kg in a week?

I have been making a lot of scratch-made meals lately, mostly the stick-to-your-ribs kind of food my grandma used to make. Everything turned out fine, but I have decided to watch my weitht a little closer since I am not as active as I used to be. I am looking for a simple explanation of the math behind weight loss.

How many calories do I actually need to burn every day to lose 1 kg by the end of the week? I want to keep it simple and have it explained clearly. I still plan on cooking my blue-ribbon dishes like pot roast and biscuits, but I need to know the daily target for that 1 kg loss so I can balance my portions. It would be helpfull to know if this is a realistic goal for a woman in her 30s who just wants to stay healthy while still enjoying good home cooking.

Why does intermittent fasting cause headaches and how to fix it?

I started intermittent fasting last week because I wanted to be more healthy while I do my meal prep for the family. It seemed like a good idea and the plan was explained clearly. However every day around three oclock I get a headache that will not go away. It is hard to get the kids dinner ready when your feeling this way. I usually like to make a nice homestyle dish but I have been too tired to even look in the fridge.

I want to know why intermittent fasting causes headaches and what I can do to fix it. I hope it is something simple so I can get back to my routine because my organized fridge is waiting for me. If you're body is just reacting to the change I hope it turns out fine soon. Its hard to stay on track when the pain starts every afternoon.

Seeking advice to make these chips proper crispy without using a fryer to keep the meal balanced and healthy :).
How can you get rid of a hangover if you've had too much to drink?

I am soliciting empirically validated strategies for mitigating the acute physiological sequelae of alcohol consumption. Generic recommendations regarding mere hydration or prophylactic over-the-counter analgesics have consistently proven inadequate. I am particularly interested in specific nutritional protocols, electrolyte-rich beverages, or targeted dietary interventions that demonstrably expedite recovery, beyond simply masking symptoms. Anecdotal remedies are of no utility.

hey everyone, i'm a bit confused lol. tbh, i've been trying to find more healthy recipes for home cooking lately, but i keep seeing ones that still use heaps of sugar? like, even 'clean eating' recipes have maple syrup or honey, sometimes quite a lot. imo it feels kinda wierd. i might be wrong but isn't teh whole point of 'healthy' to cut down on that stuff? maybe i'm missing something? :(

Is eating a late dinner truly bad for your health?

I'm really wondering if late dinner is bad for your health. My daughter your always telling me no food after 7 PM but sometimes after my evening yoga session I'm just so hungry. I do my Suryanamaskars and all my asanas and then I feel like a good home cooked meal. I usually make a nice dal and roti you know from fresh ingredients but then its already 8 PM. Is it really that bad? I try to keep myself fit do my pranayama every morning and then some light weights. My guruji says listen to your body but my body says eat! I just finished a good session and I'm starving. What do you all think is a good time to eat and what about portions too? Its so confusing. Sometimes I just snack on some fruit before bed its not a full meal just a quick bite.

Fruit Washing: Mandatory Or Not?

Seen plenty of wierd takes on this. Some people scrub everything like it's been dragged through a muddy field, others just scoff it down. What's teh real score here?

Are we seriously saying a banana needs a deep clean before I even peel the thing? Or is it more about certain types of fruit, especially if you're not cooking it? Seems like overkill for some stuff, just adds faff.
