Proper proportions for a Kalimotxo wine and Coca-Cola mix

My grandson insists on making something called a Kalimotxo by mixing red wine and Coca-Cola together. I do not see why anyone would want to ruin a beverage with all those processed chemicals and sugar, as things were much simpler when I was a young man.

If I must allow this in my home, what are the corect proportions for the wine and the soda? It seems like a real waste of a bottle to me.

Searching for a correct home-made mead recipe that is simple and budget-friendly

I recently managed to purchase a large quantity of honey at a very good discount, and I am now thinking of trying a proper home-made mead recipe.

As a young professional who prefers simple comfort food, I am looking for a correct recipe that is straightforward and does not require me to buy a whole laboratory. I would rather not have my kitchen cupboards explode from the pressure, as cleaning that would be quite a nightmare for my weekend. If anyone has a budget-friendly method that uses standard supermarket ingredients, please do let me know.
Need info on the following points.

1. Is it safe to ferment wine in plastic bottles from the shop.

2. Is the chemicals going to leak into the drink over time because of the acid.

3. If its safe which plastic symbols on the bottom are best to use for budget brewing.

4. Do old soda bottles change the taste.
How long does half a bottle of wine live in the fridge before it turns into vinegar?

I decided to try a bit of healthy balance this week so instead of my usual routine I only had two glasses of red wine with my dinner. Now there is half a bottle left in the kitchen and I am wondering how long it actually stays fresh. I know your suppose to seal it tight but I just stuck the cork back in half way. Its been there for two days now and I am worried it will start tasting like cheap vinegar if I leave it much longer. I could put it in the multicooker for a slow cooked beef recipe but I would much prefer to just have another glass tomorrow night. I am not a wine expert by any means and I usually just finish the bottle so I dont have this problem. Does anyone know how many days it stays drinkable before the quality goes downhill and its only fit for the bin? I am hoping it lasts at least three or four days because wasting it would be a tragedy for my bank account and my soul.

What are the proper ways to drink vodka?

Hello everyone! I'm not really sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering about vodka consumption... I mean, how to drink vodka properly?? It's quite a strong spirit, isn't it?! I've occasionally tried it neat, but sometimes it just feels a bit... much. My friend mentioned something about 'chilled' or 'with food,' but I'm clueless, lol! As someone who enjoys a good board game night with friends, I want to make sure I'm offering the best experience, and I might be totally off base here! Any tips or traditions? I'm hoping to learn the 'rules' like in a TTRPG, haha. Thanks so much! :)

Look, people seriously need to get this straight. What IS the actual difference between a flat white and a latte?? Like everyone acts like its some big secret or your just dumb if you dont know. Bah, but they both got coffee and milk right??? Is it the foam? The amount of milk? Cos to me they taste pretty similar sometimes, and then other times its like totally different! Help a girl out before I just stick to energy drinks forever lol. This is driving me nuts...

Precise Ratio for an Authentic Flat White Coffee

It is widely understood that a flat white coffee absolutely requires a precise 1:1 ratio of espresso to milk. I am attempting to replicate this at home, using a double shot of espresso. Does this mean I should be using exactly 60ml of milk, or is there some other specific factor I am overlooking to achieve the correct authenticity for this beverage?

Beyond the 'Red with Red' Cliché: What Wine Actually Works with Meat?

Alright, wine connoisseurs and culinary wizards, lend me your ears (and palates!). I'm officially declaring war on the 'red wine with red meat' mantra. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it works, but honestly, it feels as generic as saying 'play some music' without specifying a genre. My recent attempts at elevating a good steak or a Sunday lamb roast with the 'right' wine have been... anticlimactic, to say the least. More discordant than a poorly tuned guitar, tbh. So, before I accidentally pair a robust Cabernet with a delicate piece of fish (lol, not really, but you get the gist), hit me with your tried-and-true, *actually good* wine recommendations for various meat dishes. I'm talking specific types, not just colours. Help a sister out! :) P.S. My ears are ready for your wisdom, literally.

Its like some magic potion to them she goes on and on. I'm thinking its some kinda strong rice wine but is it good? Should my team try it after our game? I need to know what it really is before I suggest anything!

Bartenders' Dogma: Why the Vehement Opposition to Freezing Vodka?

I often keep a bottle of decent vodka (nothing artisanal, mind you, just a good standard) in the freezer. IMO, it makes for a superbly smooth shot or a crisp cocktail base. But every time I mention this to a bartender, I get "the look" followed by a lecture about temperature, viscosity, aroma, and apparently, the very soul of the spirit being irrevocably damaged. TBH, I'm starting to think it's just professional snobbery. Is there some genuine scientific or mixological principle at play here, or is it just one of those 'rules' passed down like ancient tavern lore? LOL. My hiking flask appreciates the chill, FWIW.
